Yesterday, Terra Nova celebrated our first full year in Buffalo and the beginning of our tenth school year. We are grateful to the Monticello, Delano, and Buffalo Chambers of Commerce for celebrating alongside our students and staff yesterday. We'll soon share our festive ribbon-cutting ceremony video, graciously captured by the Monticello Chamber. Thank you to the students, staff, and community members who gathered the commemorative milestones that encircle the oak seedling we planted yesterday. Thanks to a generous gift from the family of FeederWatch participant John Waud, in honor of his late wife Doris Waud, who was a long-time public school teacher, and was actively involved in the creation of Classroom FeederWatch at the Cornell Lab. Terra Nova was chosen among 50 schools for this upcoming year's Project FeederWatch. Our participation fee was covered by this gift.
