The Terra Nova Animal Care Club has teamed up with the amazing team @CrossroadsAnimalShelter and Clinic for an adventure in animal care! 🐾 Our students dove paws-first into the world of animal behavior and handling, learning from the pros who work with all sorts of critters—big, small, and a little wild! They also discovered the super cool TNR program (Trap, Neuter, and Release) that helps control feral animal populations. It’s like being animal superheroes, but without the capes! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Now, the Animal Care Club is rolling up their sleeves (and often covered in fur) to help care for sheltered animals. From cleaning and feeding to hanging out with the animals doing enrichment activities (they’re like "animal happiness coaches"), our students are improving the chances of these adorable creatures finding forever homes. And the best part? They get to go behind the scenes and assist in the surgery center, gaining hands-on experience in a real-life veterinary setting. 🐱🐶✨ We’re beyond grateful for this pawsome opportunity, and our kids can’t wait for the next outing! The sound waves seminar struck another cord with their visit to the Schubert Club Music Museum on Friday. This neat and upbeat Music Museum on the second floor of Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul provided inspiration, learning, fun and interactivity for students as they made their way through the galleries hearing and playing instruments from around the globe, either hands-on or through technology. The Museum’s collections come to life through audio and visual recordings telling the story of our historical keyboards and manuscripts. #terranovamn #outoftheclassroomintotheworld #wavesandmusic

🎼Terra Nova struck a harmonious chord 🎶 while at the MN Orchestra today! As part of a wave-y seminar (get it?), the students were able to dive deep into the sound-sational world of acoustical engineering. They were totally amped up, their ears still ringing with musical excitement and ready to resonate with the architectural acoustics that make sound truly come alive. 🎚️ The venue itself was an acoustic playground, promising to conduct an educational experience that would sound just right to these budding engineers. Who knew learning about sound waves could be music to their ears?
